Xien kept calling to Veronica for back up, but Veronica had problems of her own....at first it was her nerves. Mary had told her to bring the enhancement armor yet Veronica had issues with image.

She was the fat girl all her life. Extremely smart but fat at least in her eyes. Everyone else saw a beautiful full figured woman, she saw fat. So when she triple majored in Nanotechnology, Computer Theory and Biology it was all to make what she equated as 'beautiful'. It took years but it worked, but now with the resistance her self image was shaky at best.

The armor Mary wanted her to wear looked bulky and Veronica wanted to look just as good, if not better than her partner Xien on her first field mission. Right now she was wishing she had listened.

Every sound caused her to jump and unfortunately this time she had reacted to the wrong sound unaware of what was now directly behind her.
