Against the World

They weren't sisters biologically but in the ways that matter most they were. Kym and Kim (not their real names but ones they made up for each other) had dressed alike to show the world they were together and perhaps to reaffirm to themselves they were too. It had been ten years since they stopped aging and life on the streets was getting worse by the minute, it had been awhile since they had been on them but when their recent 'patron' brought another into their group, they killed him, without hesitation...without really thinking really. He didn't know why although his last thoughts were because he thought they were jealous of the pretty blonde runaway he had found. Had he realized that the pair were actually 24 and not 14 (the age they had been stuck in by a pretty nasty demon) it would have made sense to him. Kim (the redhead) started but it was Kym (the asian) who delivered the fatal blow telling the young blonde to run.

Now they sat in trash wondering what they would do with their lives, when suddenly a paper flew by them. "Count Demon Attacks National Guard Reserve" the headline read. Almost telepathically the girls looked at each other and smiled. He/It was alive and that meant they could get their old lives back, be the adults they were meant to be...now they just needed a means.
