Avangers Initiative part 2

Steve Rogers looks out on the Alantic quietly, behind him his long time friend John Walker comes up from behind him.

"So you ready to do this Stevey?"

"I'm not sure John.  It's been what...decades since I even thought about 'Captain America'"

"I know man, but don't you miss it and can't you just wait to get your life back?"

"Why me John?  After all these years, I figured they were going to pick you this time."

"Well after they staged the death of Captain America, yours was the name the released to the public.  Me?  I was in the brig before I got the injection, assault on a superior officer....you know why they picked you."

"No.  You're the kind of Captain America this country needs, hell the middle-east alone..."

"Proves why you're the better guy Steve.  There is a difference between a soldier and a muderer...we both know that I blur those lines at times...you...never.  Plus I'm getting a public gig too.  Just now the miracle shit Stark came up with.  Hell the public would freak if they knew there were actually two Captain America's during the big one."

"What are the setting you up with John?"

"Some covert shit...you know how I love the deep cover shit."

Steve turns back and smiles at John.

"You are a hell of a guy John Walker and in my mind, you've always been my Captain America."

"You've always been mine too.  You ready?"

"Yeah, I'm ready.  I think I see Wilson's plane over the horizon."

"Well I gotta go Steve.  Hell I'm not even suposed to be here now but..."

"What good are orders if you can't break them from time to time....I know.  Take care pal"

"You too."

 John Walker turns away but gives Steve Rogers a look and smiles.  The pair have been friends for over 60 years and have only aged four during that time.  He wonders if there friendship will survive another 60.

Steve Rogers waves and contemplates the plan.  He knows there have been cases of people being frozen in ice for hours and being revived, but for this long of a time?  He doesn't think the public will believe it, but General Ross has a plan behind a plan, behind a plan.  Just like his other friend Col. Fury...if those two could ever see eye to eye....Rogers lets the thought go.  Sam Wilson has just touched down in the water.  He jumps into the water and starts swimming with only one thing on his mind "Captain America."
