and moving it forward 15 years.

"It's been a long time Kara."

"No it hasn't we were just on mission together last week Diana."

"Yeah, but it's the first time we've been (excluding the big fella here...is that the new Metallo) alone since Kal's funeral."

"Oh my God, you're right and that was almost five years ago. And yeah, Mettalox or something is his name."

"I was surprised when you changed your name from Supergirl to Powergirl..."

"Power Woman now."

"Yes, Power Woman, but still surprised that you didn't even come talk to me about it and the whole goverment thing..."

"No offense Diana, but after Clark died (watch out for the 'death rays') I needed to be my own person, my own hero and the goverment gave me a new look on how we do things."

"I agree, but do you think Kal would approve?"

"That's the whole thing about it. I would want him to, but in the end I'm happy with my choice and that's what matters most."

"Spoken like an Amazon sister. Shall we go in for the knockd down."

"Hell yeah."

Mettalox goes down quickly and the two smile at each other.

"Oracle, can you get online with the Science Police?" Diana says speaking through the JLA's new comm device hidden in her ear.

"Which one is on duty?" Kara ask.

"Tim (you did take out his audio receptors with the heat vision right?)"

"Of course I did. I still can't believe Tim let that Psycho Damien take over as Batman."

"Well Damien is the kind of Batman Gotham needs right now and Barbara can't handle all the work now that she and Dick have kids."

"Yeah, I guess. Speaking over former Titans any luck on..."

"No, still haven't heard from Cassandra or Conner since they disappeared in that Boom tube. I wouldn't have come out of semi retirement if there was. How are the twins?"

"Oh, Jonathan and Laura are both 8 now. Laura's kryptonian powers have started to kick in and Jon's a little jealous of his sister's ability to fly."

"Well girls do mature faster than boys."

"Yes they do and Laura is so much like Kal it's scary. Jonathan on the other hand is every bit a Lane. The kid can't fly but he's determined to be the next Superman and somehow convinced Bruce to teach him to fight."

"Yes that sounds like Lois. I still remember her telling him off when Kal asked him to be Godfather and he refused at first. She just delivered two half kryptonian children and she gave him the tongue lashing of a lifetime."

"I got it on tape. Dick recorded the whole thing, wanna come over watch it and catch up?"

"Why it would be my pleasure Miss Lang."

"Race you the Daily Planet...my apartment is just around the corner..."

"No thank you dear. I heard about the race you and and Bart had last year, the property damage alone from the Sonic Booms..."

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that."

Diana smiles and looks at Kara who looks a little ashamed.

"Smile, it's things like that that remind me that we are all more like family than ascociates."

"Yeah, but I was docked half pay for three months because of that."

"But no one was harmed."

"Hey we may be a little irresponsible sometimes but not stupid. Here come the SPs let's go."

"Lets."
