Friction and Boom part 7

Elizabeth looks at the photo intently and then looks at Spartan. "What's this got to do with me?" she says.

"I thought you would want a picture of your mother." Spartan says smiling "This was taken in 1954, back then we had a clandestine agency to monitor the whereabouts of our kind."

"What's going on?" Elizabeth says "And who is the asian woman?"

"Well the asian woman is Kyree of Alantis, later on called Juno...second wife of Zeus, or Jupitor as he was called then, and most recently known as Hisako. This is the day her husband left her. He was a sailor just coming back from Korea to discover his wife was several months pregnant...he had been gone for two years."

"Oh"

"Oh indeed." Spartan adds "I don't think she thought she could get pregnant so soon after having your father, normally Olympian women can only bear children about once every 70-100 years. Your mother in fact was a surprise to her because most Olympian woman that were around no longer had eggs in their ovaries, but she was just becoming a woman when Atlantis sunk and the youngest woman on the island."

"So what happened to her...to my mother?"

"Well Hisako had the child and gave both her children up for adoption . Your mother was the superhero known as Shifter the changing girl, she died in 1976 af few years after giving birth to you and giving you up for adoption. Your father from what I can gather is a school teacher in Vermont he doesn't even know of your existence.

"A teacher?" Elizebeth smiles "You know I am...was a teacher."

Spartan returns her smile and nods.

"What about my Aunt? My grandmother are they still...?"

"No" Spartan says solemnly "Hisako was killed by your aunt..."

"Twisted." Elizebeth adds.

"Yes" Spartan says then he looks to the door opening. Kia, Nathan and Arisa walk in. "but you still do have family..."

"Yes" Elizebeth smiles as she hugs her son (who is amazed that he is in the presence of Spartan.

"No...I meant Kia here." Spartan points to Kia "She's the daughter of your cousin...Xien Mora."

"The Xien Mora?"

"Yes, the one and the same she has two other daughters as well."

"Can I meet her?"

Spartan face turns serious again "Well that's another long story...."
