Ultimate XMen 005 Plot

Main Plot 1: A little over a year ago. Place a hospital a man is being rushed into the hospital. SHEILD agents surround him. Later on Carol Danvers head of SHEILD is talking to two agents who inquire what do they tell his friends outside. She tells them to tell them he's dead and to keep the two dentained. Nick Fury seemingly comes out of nowhere and is pissed with her decision. He tells them how the kids outside need hope, but Carol insist that he's brain dead and mutant or not, it's only a matter of time before his body follows, plus she has plans for the pair. Fury says "Project X-Factor?" Carol smiles and says of course, SHEILDS own team of mutants, she thanks Fury for the idea and then tells him he has five minutes before she arrest him, but when she turns to face him, he's gone.

Main Plot 2: Back at Graymaklin. Storm is asking Cable who he is. Bishops then remarks about how 'clever' it was hiding underneath the mansion. Cable laughs and they walk through another passage way. Inside you see that they are actually on the moon. Bishop ask how. Cable explains that the mansions underground bunker is just one way to get to his base on what he calls the Blue Area of the Moon. He further explains it appears to have been a Kree outpost that his man found. Bishop ask what man and that's when Blacksmith comes out. Dressed totally in black with the exception of a cybernetic arm and leg. Cable introduces Blacksmith as his technical wizard that helped him build the place as well as well as most of his weapons.

Main Plot 1B: 8 months ago.Total darkness. a voice is heard asking for Jean.. the back to the hospital bed where the man from the start of the issue wakes up violenty, screaming "No!" Most of his head is bandaged and the only thing visible of his face are his mouth and his white hair. Later Director Danvers is in his room telling him that his friends were with them but went AWOL and they want him to lead of new team of mutants for SHEILD. The man looks at his wrist band and reads the name on it (we can't see the name) and tells Carol that he is afraid that he is not who she thinks he is.

Subplot 1: The Savage Land several years ago. Apocalypse is speaking to Magneto. Magneto wants to know why Xavier wasn't invited and Apocalypse tells him he doesn't trust Xavier and that Xavier's pacifist ways will be the end of mutantkind. Mageneto then ask why then the meeting and Apocalypse tells him it is about family. Magneto looks confused. Apolcalypse says that Raven....Mystique is his daughter, her shape shifting powers aren't nearly as good as his, but he can tell under Magneto's leadership she has found a whole new skill set. Apocalypse tells Magneto that he will let him lead muntantkind for now, but to make no mistake he is their king. Magneto merely studies Apocalypse as he leaves. In the shadows Quicksilver can be seen spying on the pair.

Mainplot 2B : Back to the Blue Area of the moon and Storm is still demanding to know exactly who Cable is. Cable tries to tell her that it doesn't matter and that he is a friend, one she trusted with blind faith before and hopes he can earn her trust again. She gets more pissed and ask how can she trust a man she doesn't know who has a partner who is as much a mystery as he is. Cable turns to Blacksmith and tells him to unmask. It's Forge. Cable explains that Forge was badly injured and is working with him to make up for the things he did while he was with Magneto. Bishop states that Forge/Blacksmith is the main reason why SHEILD wants Cable.

Subplot 2: The Shadow King inspects both Jean Grey and Rogue and tells the people behind him it's a shame, that he has to give up one. He then call for his Brood: a Strong looking Black man , another who appears to be on fire, and three others in the shadow. Shadow King, looks at the group and tells them that soon once the reaquire Storm his Brood will be complete.

Mainplot 1c: A few months ago. The man now known as Cable is talking with Forge. He ask Forge if he's ready to leave SHEILDS "employ". Forge smiles and the two teleport.

Subplot 3: Sinister walks into a great hall. He has floating chamber like device behind him. You can tell their is a humanoid form in it, that appears to be missing a forearm. Apocalypse ask him if the mutant sedated. Sinister informs him that he's in stasis, much like Captain America was. Apocalypse says he isn't surprised considering. Sinister then ask if he is sure if he wants this one. Apocalypse tells him how this one is key to the others. Sinister mentions that he most likely will have suffered brain damage and Apocalypse adds the better to retrain his mind, but his body will remember and can think of no other to become his first horseman : War!
