I remember the first day I saw him. I was thirteen in a country I care not to even think about let alone mention and my father was selling me to a local club to work as a "escort girl".

It wasn't the first time I saw an American but this one seemed different yet familiar. I remember him going over the details of what I was to do and when my father agreed to everything the man looked angry and looked at me.

"Girl" he said in my native tongue "Do you know where your grandmother lives?"

It was a strange question but I nodded yes, he then smiled at me warmly and then looked at my father again.

"Why is your skin so dark?" he asked my father.

"My father was an american general who died long ago." my father answered proudly.

The man looked even more upset "So you're stupid as well" he muttered in English looking at my father who had no idea what he had said.

"Turn away girl" he said to me, I did but curiousity got the better of me and I looked back just in time to see my father's neck get crushed by this man's massive hand.

"Now take me to your grandmother." he commanded. I refused at first and he smiled "Loyalty to family...very good, I promise you no harm will come to her."

I was surprised when my grandmother greeted this man with a hug...and then told me he was my grandfather.

"I brought your father in this world, but to sell his only daughter? He was not worthy of our blood, but you, you placed your ederly grandmother, my former and still love above your own safety...you will remain with me."

That was ten years ago and long before we found out I could move at super speeds, I have been my grandfather's second in command.
