"Of course me and my mom weren't the only ones looking out for revenge. Athena, a quarter spellbinder, my father's prized pupil and if rumors are to be believed...his lover, which is why you can guess my mother didn't want to work with her.

Athena wasn't at the complex the day of the attack but she had a good alibi, she had actually been impaled in a wall in Paris and was recieving emergency surgery at the time.

She was one of the few contacted by the world goverments to train the new task force, she spat on their offer. She wanted in the fight not sitting on the sidelines while others went in her stead. Recently she killed a very powerful vampire, unfortunately he was a local tribe leader in the middle east that was actually friendly with the U.S., so now Athena is pretty high on the most wanted list. That cut off access to most of her funds so she basically uses a katana charged by her spellbinder abilities to do the 'work'.

Last count, she is in the lead for destoying the undead and paranormal...by at least a couple of hundred."
