Description
They each wake up, looking around confused before they even acknowledge each other, it is Xien (black dress center) who speaks up first and introduces herself, followed by Rui (white dress) and then Yuka (pig tails).
They each relate what they were doing prior to waking up in this strange place.
Xien: At a club in New York city, she was with friends on a 'girls night' out when she started to feel sick. She was the designated driver so she hadn't drink at all, but couldn't surpress the urge to vomit. She ran to the bathroom and she remembers washing her face off and looking into the mirror when everything went black. The next thing she knew she was here.
Rui: Was in a hotel room in San Fransico, trying to surpress the sounds of her vomiting as to not wake her companion still sleeping in bed. She had put on her dress (as she had nothing else to where) as she rushed to the bathroom, and was afraid that she was pregnant, she was fixing her make up when everything went black.
Yuka, was at home in Hawaii. She was visiting home from college (in Texas). When her stomach started to feel horrible. She was certain she was pregnant and trying to think how to break it to her parents, or if she should just 'take care of it' herself. Her mother was calling her downstairs and she was in large standing mirror, trying to make herself look 'happy' when things went black in her world.
The three realize the mirror connection and before they can even start to guess where they are, they here a laugh. It seems to come from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Yuka is the first to realize as she looks in the cracked mirror behind them, there is a figure in the mirror walking closer to them that only seems to exist in the mirror.
It's when it gets to the front of the mirror that the girls reaize it isn't human, it stretches its hand out and it comes through the mirror.
With nowhere to run, the girls, Yuka being steadied by both Xien and Rui, stand there ground.
"Brave" the thing says "I see I picked well."
"Where the hell are we?" Rui demands.
"Hell?" the thing chuckles, "No, not hell, but close enough. Welcome to the Badlands ladies."
Each repeats "Badlands...?"
